ROAR Summer Sizzler Results
The 3rd round of the ROAR Summer Sizzler was held this past week end at the GEARS club track in Harlingen, TX. What a great race! We were worried that hurricaine Erin would put a damper on things. Luckily the hard work and detication that our friends at GEARS showed by working on the track really paid off. The track conditions were absolutely gorgeous, the weather was beautiful, and the area was filled with the smell of nitro and the sound of electric motors.

Congratulations to several of our own StarCar members to taking home some trophys!

Jared Bockholt who not only took 1st in 1/8th buggy expert, but also took 2nd in 1/10th Open Buggy with an Associated B4 that he borrowed from Jerry of the GEARS club.

Jimmy Matsler won 3rd 1/8th buggy expert with his Jammin buggy.

Jon Whitenton took 1st in 1/8th Buggy Sportsman with his new ride.

And last but certainly not least, Cade "Young Gun" Whitenton (Jons 9 year old son) was able to take the 3rd position of the Standard MT race while running a Traxxas Revo with a broken steering link. If that's not talent, I don't know what is!

We would like to thank everyone at GEARS for letting us run with them on their superb track, everyone who came from San Antonio, Houston, and Austin, and of course a big congratulations to all of the other winners. We'll see you at the next race!
